Weekend in Sedona

This weekend we went camping up near Sedona. It is so beautiful up there! One crazy thing about Arizona is the different landscapes. We went through 5 different landscapes from our house to our campsite! We have been having record heat (105+) and it was really nice to be able to excape once again to 65-70 degree highs!
We drove up a trail road (Schnebly Hill) to see this beautiful view! The city of Sedona is at the bottom...

Once we set up camp we went and did some offroading to really break in the Jeep! The roads were pretty rocky which wasnt exactly the greatest feeling for me, but it was still fun! Im still feeling a little sore from that and sleeping on the ground.

Jeep Club

We had a couple animal encounters.. we spotted a Mule deer (no pic)

a super pretty Collared Lizard

A king snake(non-poisonous) (which we thought was a corral snake (poisonous) until we googled it so Tyler blew its head off with his pistol. He felt bad afterwards...) We now know the saying "Red on Yellow Kill a Fellow" for next time...

and of course the most ferocious animal we came across...

Tyler brought and set up a hammock. This is where I SHOULD have slept but I was too chicken that a bear or mountain lion would attack me if I was out there all by myself...
(me in all my 32+ week glory!)

On Saturday, we tore down camp and headed to find Colby a place to fish. We ended up at Beaver creek where Colby caught 4 fish! 2 trout and 2 smallmouth bass (for anyone who knows the difference )

Claire and Kylie playing in the creek!

We had a great time! Thanks Coltons! The benefits definitely outweighed the discomforts, although an actual toilet is most certainly a preferred route while pregnant to a hole and a shovel! :)

28 -31 weeks

28 weeks

30 weeks!

31 Weeks!

Well its a little crazy how much a belly can grow in a few weeks!

So far everything looks good! Baby is growing right on schedule!

Weight gain so far is 20 lbs

I started my 2 weeks appts at 28 weeks, which is crazy! Only 2 more appts until we go to the weekly ones!

Cravings chocolate. I dont know why its so good! :)

Well thats about it! I have been spending lots of time out in the pool which is very relaxing. I have been trying to get used to Colbys new schedule (130-1000pm Sun-Thurs) We have been trying to accomplish lots of things in the morning, and enjoying what feels like a 3 day weekend!
We are headed up near Sedona this weekend (hopefully) to go camping/hiking! It should be fun!

Baby Shower

My mom threw me a wonderful shower on Cinco de Mayo! She spent a lot of time and thought on it and it turned out beautiful! I felt so loved and was able to see a lot of people that I hadnt seen in years!

June, July & August babies! Only they are on #2! and All Boys!

Belly Bump! This was not an easy shot to get!

We were also able to do some other fun things while we were there.
We went to First Friday downtown, which was quite interesting. I wish I was brave enough to take pictures of crazy looking people, but I am always afraid they are going to catch me! This was the place of freaks though! We got to ride a double decker bus, which was pretty cool!

Then we went on a double date with my parents to see the Avengers which was pretty awesome!
I am so blessed to have such an awesome family! I received a lot of things that I needed and feel so much more prepared now for baby!

Saturday

This past weekend we decided last minute to head up to the mountains and go to the lake (s) on the Mogollon Rim. It was so nice! It was supposed to be 103+ in the valley and it was only 65 on the rim! Thats the nice thing about Arizona, a short 2 1/2 hour drive away the temperature drops 30+ degrees!
We decided to take the dogs, we havent taken them anywhere like that ever! They had a great time getting dirt all over me, barking at all the other dogs that were up there, and pulling me around on their leash! It was funny for onlookers I am sure, a big pregnant lady walking two dogs on a hiking path that is not even. I slipped and fell on my butt once and am lucky it wasnt more than that! Colby eventually switched me for the dogs and I carried his fishing pole.  :)
He didnt catch anything but we still had a great time exploring a different (and much cooler) part of the state!

There was a wildfire that had just started as we drove up and had grown quite a bit by the time we drove back down. It made the sun look pretty cool through the smoke. You could see the flames (in the distance) from the road, but they had cops so we couldnt pull over.

I had Colby take a picture of me in all my loveliness but all three of them were focusing on a tree behind me.... Oops! :)
